Talk Textiles Yarn Online event

The life of Norfolk's medieval women spinners.

Textile expert, natural dyer, spinner, weaver and knitter, Jenn Monahan, shares her fascinating research into the invisible and unsung women who laid the foundations for the medieval textile industry.

Jenn's online talk, followed by a Q&A, explores the lives and roles of these hard-working women, through their tools and textiles, and she'll bust a few myths along the way!

The promotion of British wool, and specifically of this county's indigenous breed, the Norfolk Horn, is a passion of Jenn's. She breeds the sheep and her business, Fibreworkshop, producing a traceable, sustainable yarn hand dyed here in Norfolk.

Jenn's talk complements the C&TA's anniversary exhibition, which is free to enter in The Forums ground floor Gallery, throughout the festival. See below.
