What's in store for Makers 2024?

It's hard to pick out just a few highlights from this year's programme. But here are a few.

From Norfolk's Queen of Knitting and her complete collection, stunning costumes and garments of the past, glorious examples of craftivism, plus a chance for all ages and abilities to have a go at something new. For free!

Celebrate local talent

The theme for 2024's juried textile art exhibition is Under the Surface, featuring work from textile artists, both amateur and professional, living in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambs. A wonderfully eclectic and imaginative show of local talent.

About the Festival

The Norfolk Makers Festival is a celebration of creativity for everyone, from the curious beginner to the expert enthusiast. From wood carving to weaving, from sewing to sculpting, from quilting to digital art. It's free to enter and full of opportunities to have a go and get hands on.

Self portraits, life goals

Creative activity and linking up with people in your community can help reduce the risk of developing dementia. Read about the artwork created over a year long project. It's all on show at this year's Festival!

Margaret: The Complete Collection

This will never happen again. At this year's festival, you can view ALL of Margaret Seaman's incredible textile installations in one glorious exhibition! It's been quite a story. We've put it all together here. Make a cuppa and enjoy!
