The Forum, Millennium Plain, Norwich, NR2 1TF
Norwich Costume and Textile Association (C&TA) presents a film about fashion designer Amy Powney, of the cult label Mother of Pearl, who is a rising star in the London fashion scene.
Amy won the coveted Vogue award for the Best Young Designer of the Year, and she used the prize money to create a sustainable collection and 'transform her entire business'.
A fascinating afternoon film showing and a 'must-see' for anyone interested in the future of fashion.
Alongside the film there will be displays from Norwich University of the Arts students, and Re-Do Norfolk, asking what we can do to make fashion more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
The C&TA also presents a 35th anniversary exhibition in The Gallery, on the ground floor of The Forum throughout the Festival, and a number of online and in-person talks. All links below.
