They do what it says on the tin! And they love it!

Meet members of the various Weavers, Spinners and Dyers guilds in Norfolk, who will be at the Festival for three days with their spinning wheels, looms, carders, bobbins, fleeces, skeins, dyes, mordants, passions and projects.

You can watch them at work, have a go on a rigid heddle loom, a drop spindle and a spinning wheel, find out more about traditional textile skills, and the properties of the many different fibres they work with.

There are five guilds in Norfolk, a county with a long and fascinating textile production history, who are affiliated to the national association, and all have a focus on preserving and passing on age-old skills and knowledge.

They're a friendly bunch, always happy to welcome new members, whatever your skill or experience.

The Guilds' national website will tell you where your local guild is, or have a chat about joining at the Festival.
