From Barbie to Ed Sheeran, from the Strictly hosts to the cast of Downton Abbey. Ellen Siegert, who is 19 and lives in Norfolk, has made an amigurumi 'mini' of them all.
Perfect crochet stitches, and detailed costumes and characteristics, are the key to Ellen's designs, and to a flourishing online business.
Ellen started to use crochet as a way to cope with ME, creating amigurumi characters from her favourite TV shows.
She launched on social media platforms in 2020 and now, on Instagram alone, has close to 15,000 followers from across the globe.
You can view a colourful display of Ellen's minis on the ground floor of the library during the Festival, and meet the artist herself on Saturday 13 April. See link below.
I have been fortunate enough to meet many of the celebrities I have crocheted and unite them with their minis.
I hope you enjoy viewing my work as much as I have enjoyed creating it for you. Ellen.
