Using textiles and threads to express responses to cancer.

This is an open invitation, to all Festival visitors, to join artists who are creating a unique tapestry designed to promote cancer awareness.

Take a seat with stitchers and crafters from The Nest Project and staff from Star Throwers, a local cancer charity.

As you get creative with the textiles and threads provided, there will be opportunities to talk about your own experiences.

Or you may prefer to simply enjoy some silent, peaceful crafting.

The textile art created at the Festival will be added to the larger installation, sections of which will be on display.

Claire and Bekah, from The Nest Project, are regulars of the Festival and their community art projects are designed to bring people together and raise awareness of the natural world.

Star Throwers is a local cancer support charity based in Wymondham, dedicated to providing support for people with cancer and their loved ones.
