Rigid Heddle Weaving

Discover the joy of weaving on a rigid heddle loom with Julia Symonds, who runs the textile studio and workshop, Textillia, in Norwich.

Julia will have some looms already warped up so you can sit down and weave away!

We challenge you not to get well and truly hooked as you play with the different colours, yarns and fabrics.

Julia will also have some of her work on show so you can see what can be achieved once you get the hang of it.

Julia is an independent weaver and teacher of weaving, based in Lion House Studios, in the centre of Norwich.

She teaches rigid heddle courses and creates her own work using her floor loom and table loom.  Sometimes she takes her portable looms to locations to do group workshops.

While all safety measures will be taken and advice given, you participate in free activities and workshops at your own risk.
