Natural dying from coffee, acorns and more!

Textile artist Caroline Hyde Brown is passionate about exploring the use of natural materials in her work.

She loves to experiment and is sharing her findings and her enthusiasm at the Festival.

Find out how to dye cloth with natural tannins, coffee grounds, acorns and food waste items.

coloured squares of fabric around a cup and saucer

Dip squares in the dyes and use them to practise Bojagi stitching. This is a Korean style of wrapping cloth.

And make your own gall ink, from natural tannins. It's how ink was made for over a millennium.

So much to learn!

You may also want to book onto one of Caroline's workshops. See details below.

While all safety measures will be taken and advice given, you participate in free activities and workshops at your own risk.
