How long does a giraffe's scarf need to be?

We have two naked giraffes at the festival, one 'Large G' and one 'Mini G', which will be part of the new GoGoSafari trail next summer.

While they wait to be beautifully decorated by artists, and then take up home on the streets of Norwich, these two gentle giants need your help to keep warm!

How long do you think a giraffe's scarf needs to be? Some chunky knitting needles and big wool are waiting for you and if we all do a few rows, these giraffes will soon warm up!

Delivered by local charity Break, which supports young people from care, the GoGoSafari trail will see the giraffe sculptures stand alongside an elephant, rhino, lion and gorilla, which will take over the streets of Norwich and Norfolk in summer 2025.

This 'roarsome' safari sculpture trail will not only be bringing communities together but each sculpture represents the strength, resilience and hope of the young people from care that Break supports.
