Petal and Purl

This exhibition is in the past.

Take a trip down memory lane to the 1950s and relive English village life.

The Petal and Purl craft group, from Caston in Norfolk, are planning an extravaganza of knitting and crochet for Summer 2019 in their village.

As a preview, they’re bringing some of their exquisite exhibits to the Norfolk Makers’ Festival.

Taking centre stage in The Forum’s main Atrium will be the front parlour of a 1950s seamstress, created entirely from textiles and life-sized.

Visitors to Makers’ Month 2018 will remember the fabulous knitted Queen and the knitted ladies having afternoon tea.

Come and see what else the Caston knitters have created since then and make sure you put their event on Sat 29 and Sun 30 June in your diary!

Until we get pictures of 2019’s exhibits, please enjoy these photos from last year.

Members of the Petal and Purl team will be at the Norfolk Makers’ Festival on Sat 9 Feb, Sun 10 Feb and Mon 11 Feb offering free activities.
