Margaret Seaman, from Great Yarmouth, wowed visitors to last year’s Festival with her 12 ft long knitted, 3D model of Great Yarmouth in the 1970s.
She made headlines in the papers, featured on local and national TV, raised thousands for charity and brought back many happy memories for Festival visitors.
Margaret’s knitting needles never stop. She knits every day, morning, noon and night.
Her latest project is fit for a Queen. Margaret is knitting Sandringham!
Her model of the Queen’s Norfolk residence is about 3m long and 2m wide and is a centre piece at this year’s Festival.
Hundreds of hours of work have gone into faithfully recreating details of the house and gardens in wool, using knitting and crochet.
Meet Margaret, chat to her about her work in progress and about her fundraising for local charities.
She will be in residence every day of the Festival.
Margaret is the Queen of the Norfolk Makers’ Festival. You had better practice your curtsy!
