Join Susan Cranmer, from the Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, to find out how our early ancestors produced yarn and how it is still produced in many areas of the world.
If you have never spun before, Susan will start you with a grasped or a drop spindle. If you have some experience with spinning there will be a range of other types of spindle to experiment with, such as Navajo, Turkish, Russian and Mayan Paddle.
All equipment and materials will be provided for the workshop and there will be some equipment for sale.
Time: 6pm – 8pm
Minimum Age: 12 (under 16s accompanied by a paying adult)
To book: email@example.com
Susan is also running a Woven Paper Basket workshop on Thu 14 Feb.
