Sashiko is the Japanese art of stitching that translates to ‘little stabs’. This type of stitching adds texture, strength and warmth to old garments.
In this two hour workshop with Anna Ovenden you will learn how to stitch precisely and neatly, whilst crossing lines and turning corners in your stitching.
You will stitch a piece of fabric using plain or coloured threads in a pattern of your choice.
The finished product can be turned into a pin cushion, needle case or coaster.
Please check in at the information desk 15 minutes before your workshop and a member of staff will take you to the right place.
