Rag rug is a craft that uses upcycled textiles and quickly creates a beautiful finished piece. And its cheap and easy to do. Learn the basics at this two hour evening workshop and you may be hooked (sorry).
Victoria Goulden will help you make a small placemat or a bag and will show you how to refine your hooking technique and explore how mixed fibres can work together.
She will also demonstrate speed shuttle hooking on a frame.
Bring pieces of textiles with you such as fleece, velours, tee shirts and finer fabrics. Victoria will also supply some fabrics for a small donation.
There will be hooks available to use. And if you like what you try, you can buy your own from Victoria on the night. The hessian bags will also be available to buy at cost price.
