Make a Morsbag

This event has already taken place.

The idea behind Morsbags is to help keep fabric out of landfill and plastic out of the ocean.

Morsbags are made with recycled fabric and they are always free!

This is a worldwide movement – find out more at – and anyone can get involved.

The Morsbag group from St Nicholas’ Church, in North Walsham, are joining us at the Norfolk Makers’ Festival.

Join them to make a bag of  your own – no sewing experience is necessary as the team will help you.

St Nick’s Morsbags, a group of about ten people, meet fortnightly at the church and their tally at time of writing is 230 bags.

Find out more about the group on their Facebook page.

Joining the group is a great way to get creative and a good reason to eat cake and drink coffee. New members are always welcome. Or you could start your own group where you live!

There are now nearly 2,000 Morsbag groups across the world and more than 290,000 bags have been made so far.
