Layers & Landscapes

This event has already taken place.

Join artist Caroline Hyde-Brown and combine fabrics, stitching and dyes. Using various techniques you will create a beautiful multimedia landscape piece.

Experiment with layers of subtly printed silk, calico, and natural paints to produce a beautiful piece of textile art. Images of trees, grasses and wildflowers will be added to the background and enhanced with some relaxing hand stitching.

Caroline is a local artist who combines design, embroidering, felting and painting. She uses these to explore the relationship between the environment and art.

This two hour session will allow for a far more intricate design than the free taster as Caroline will be able to give more specialised advice.

Don’t be shy. Beginners welcome and no experience necessary.

Please check in at the information desk 15 minutes before your workshop and a member of staff will take you to the right place.
