Knapton Knitters

This event has already taken place.

Would you like to learn how to knit or crochet?   This is your chance to have a go, whether you are a beginner or want to improve your technique.

The Knapton Knitters – the creators of the Curtain of Poppies – are at the Festival for three days with experienced tutors on hand to help you make your own unique granny square or knitted flower.

Materials and needles are available for you to use. Or you may wish to bring your own.

Plus, join a member of the Knapton Knitters, Anne Ovenden, for a needle felting workshop on Sat 23 Feb.

The Knapton Knitters commemorated the centenary of the First World War by creating a curtain of knitted poppies which were displayed at Norwich Cathedral and which are also on show at the Forum during Norfolk Makers’ Festival.
