Join members of the Costume and Textile Association for Norfolk Museums to make a pin cushion, needle case or another fun item.
It can be as simple or as decorative as you wish. All materials are provided.
The drop-in activities on offer are inspired by the decorative items and needlework tools in the museum collection at the Study Centre in Shire Hall, Norwich.
Take a seat and chat to the C&TA members to learn more about the textile heritage of Norfolk and the exhibits being looked after by the Museum Service.
Pamela Clabburn, founder of the C&TA said, “Any tool which is well made and completely functional has a beauty of its own, whether it be a spade, screwdriver or saucepan but few trades, combine tools of the utility and beauty as effortlessly as that of needlework.”
Joy Evitt, from the C&TA, is giving a free lunchtime talk on Sat 16 Feb.
