A knitted tribute to a man who inspired a nation.

In 2020 ‘Captain Tom’ came to symbolise a nation’s determination to get through an unprecedented crisis.

His simple sponsored walk around his garden made global headlines and over £38 million was raised for the NHS.

The knitted tribute to Captain Tom on display in The Forum's Atrium was created by Lois Gill, with Joy Fletcher, Ann Norris, Wendy Edwards and Penny Evans from the village of Caston, Norfolk.

The display will be used to raise money for various charitable causes including for repairs to the Holy Cross Church, in Caston and for the Trees for Tom (Woodland Trust) project.
